Saxenda : the newest recruit into the battle against obesity

Obesity is a growing problem in the UK. A quarter of UK adults are obese, and this proportion could rise further with our increasingly sedentary lifestyles and readily available cheap, unhealthy food. With many of us moving less due to sitting at desks at work, getting around by car and spending more time on the sofa instead of up and about, we burn fewer calories. Combined with a higher calorific intake thanks to the generally lower cost and greater accessibility of unbalanced ready meals and fast food compared with fresh produce, this equates to weight gain. (1)

Most of us know that on a basic level, the key to losing weight is simply eating less and moving more, so that on a daily basis, calories taken in amount to less than calories burnt. But in reality, many factors can stand in the way of this change in lifestyle, including time constraints and lack of motivation. In addition, several medical conditions such as type II diabetes mellitus, pre-diabetes, polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS) and hypothyroidism, as well as certain medications, can make weight loss harder to achieve. That’s why medical intervention may sometimes be needed. (1)

Until recently, there was only one medication – orlistat – licensed to treat obesity in this country. Orlistat stops around a third of the fat in your diet being absorbed, helping to prevent weight gain. However, unpleasant side effects directly related to this mode of action include oily, loose stools, flatulence, urgency to pass stools more frequently than is normal for you, and an oily rectal discharge. Help for Erectile Dysfunction

Diabetes, heart disease or high blood pressure can cause impotence. If a person drinks too much alcohol, smokes or takes illegal drugs, they too can experience ED. Anxiety, poor sleep and stress can also cause a man to experience ED. Loss of libido can also have a big impact upon a man’s romantic relationships. (1,2)

Fortunately there is help available for men who regularly experience difficulty in obtaining and sustaining an erection. Erectile dysfunction treatment is available to buy online from reputable registered UK online pharmacies. It has been found that ED treatment for men experiencing impotence can be effective in two-thirds of men. (1)

In the UK it is now possible to buy some ED treatment without a prescription. One such treatment is Viagra or its cheaper, yet just as effective generic counterpart, Sildenafil. Other erectile dysfunction treatments are available with a prescription and these too can be bought online from a registered UK pharmacy. Such drugs work by stimulating blood flow to the penis and will only work if a man is sexually aroused. (3,4)

One should always read the patient information leaflet that comes with erectile dysfunction treatment. There is a risk of mild to moderate common side effects that  may be observed. (3,4)

It is worth considering making lifestyle changes alongside taking treatment for erectile dysfunction. For example, drinking less alcohol, taking regular exercise and eating healthily. (5,6)

Anyone considering buying erectile dysfunction treatment from an online pharmacy must first complete a short and simple online medical questionnaire. A registered doctor will then issue a prescription if a patient is deemed suitable to take the drug.

Don’t lose any sleep over hair loss

Male pattern hair loss is caused by a hormone called dihydrotestosterone (DHT) and by genetic factors. There are many other reasons why someone experiences hair loss, such as anxiety, cancer, illness, and iron deficiency, stress or weight loss. Hair loss can also run in the family. Fortunately, if a person is experiencing MPHL, there are treatments available. (1)

One such treatment is called Finasteride. It is a popular treatment and a generic version of a branded drug called Propecia. As it’s a generic version, it is cheaper, yet just as effective. Finasteride can be bought from a reputable registered UK pharmacy. (1,3,4)

Taking Finasteride pills can  promote hair  growth and stop more hair loss. Typically, it takes between 3-6 months for someone to see the full effects of taking Finasteride. If a person taking Finasteride pills stops taking them, they are likely to lose the hair they have grown within 9 months to a year. (5,6)

Finasteride works by lowering the levels of DHT in the scalp by blocking an enzyme that converts testosterone to DHT. Finasteride works best for men who have mild or moderate hair loss. Women or children must not take it. (4,5)

In the UK, Finasteride cannot be obtained without a prescription and is typically prescribed in 1mg tablets, with one tablet taken daily, with or without food. As with any drug, patients should read the patient information leaflet with Finasteride when they buy the treatment online. (3,4,6)

Buy Sildenafil online the easy way

Regular erectile dysfunction could be a result of emotional and psychological stress as well as medical reasons. They can be the side effect of certain medications, or a result of high blood pressure, high cholesterol or narrowing blood vessels in the penis. Sometimes the issue may lie with a reduced libido. Limited sex drive is an issue that can affect men and their romantic relationships significantly, and may often be a difficult issue for them to communicate and live with. (1,2)

Treatments are now available for erectile dysfunction and can be bought online from a registered online pharmacy. It has been found that medication for impotence in men can be effective in at least two-thirds of men. (1)

Sildenafil is one such treatment which can be bought. It can be prescribed in 25mg, 50mg, and 100mg doses. Sildenafil is a generic version of more commonly known Viagra. Because it is a generic version, it is a much cheaper alternative to Viagra. It works by stimulating blood flow to the penis, improving erectile function when a person becomes sexually aroused. It will only work if a man is sexually aroused. (3,4)

As with any drug, patients should read the patient information leaflet provided with Sildenafil when they buy the treatment online. There is a risk of mild to moderate side effects that should be observed, such as muscle aches, headaches, facial flushing, nasal congestions and pain in the arms and legs . Sildenafil should not be ingested if taken in conjunction with nitrates, or in case of a serious heart or liver problem, a recent stroke or heart attack, or low blood pressure.

It can take 30-60 minutes for the medicine to work for erectile dysfunction and can be taken with or without food up to four hours before sex.

Grapefruit juice should not be taken with Sildenafil as it may increase the likelihood of side-effects, whereas alcohol lessens its effects. 3, 4).

One can buy Sildenafil online after completing a simple medical questionnaire from officially registered and regulated pharmacies. It can be prescribed by the NHS for those suffering from erectile dysfunction and may be privately prescribed for an average £18 for four tablets. A registered doctor may also monitor the effects to make sure Sildenafil is safe to take for any particular patient. (3, 4)

Gonorrhea treatment, gonorrhea cure

With stigma accompanying the illness and slang terms such as ‘the clap’ making the rounds, a gonorrhea diagnosis can be upsetting to receive. Gonorrhea is caused by a bacteria called Neisseria Gonorrhea that can be transmitted through unprotected vaginal or anal sex, or  the sharing of unwashed and unprotected sex toys. It’s important to diffuse misconceptions about how the illness can be transmitted: It can not be caught from kissing and hugging, nor can it be caught from toilet seats, swimming pools, or sharing cups and plates.

It can however be passed on from a pregnant woman to her child and may cause permanent blindness in a baby if left untreated. So it is important to seek Gonorrhea treatment before the birth.  (1,2)

It is possible to buy gonorrhoea treatment online from a registered UK pharmacy without needing to visit a GP. However, before buying treatment, it’s important to take a gonorrhoea test. Symptoms differ between men and women and some people have no symptoms at all. In fact, half of women and 10% of men have no symptoms. (1,2)

People who do have symptoms may experience pain when urinating, an unusual discharge from the tip of the penis, and sometimes, pain in the testicles. Women may experience pain when urinating, lower abdominal pain, an unusual discharge, and, rarely, bleeding between periods. (1,2)

Treatment for Gonorrhea may be obtained online after taking an STI test, which can also be purchased online and completed via self-sampling at home. Results are available within two  days on average after sending in a test.. If a Gonorrhea diagnosis is confirmed, a single dose of antibiotics can be bought. These antibiotics are called  Cefixime and Azithromycin. The treatment can also clear Chlamydia. (3,4)

cuts to sexual health service budgets – the rise of home testing and treatment

In recent years, the government has cut funds for public health services across the country. One of the most drastically affected areas is sexual health – between 2016/17 and 2017/18, the budget for sexual health services provided by local authorities was slashed by around 30%. (1)

This has led to the closure of several sexual health clinics nationwide. For the general public, this means more people will be looking at STI home testing and treatment as an option.

What is the difference between STIs and STDs?
In recent decades, there has been a shift from referring to STDs (sexually transmitted diseases) towards referring to STIs (sexually transmitted infections) – in fact, the NHS website refers solely to STIs, with no mention of STDs at all.

This is because not only does the word ‘disease’ hold more grave connotations, but ‘infection’ is the more accurate description since many cases of STIs experience no symptoms, contradicting the image of illness that ‘disease’ implies.

Genital Warts and its treatments

Genital warts are small fleshy bumps, growths or skin changes around the vagina, on the cervix, penis, anus, and scrotum, in the groin or thigh area.  The HPV virus that causes genital warts can also be found in the throat, mouth, lips or tongue and cause warts there too. A person can also get genital warts from sharing sex toys and skin-to-skin contact. (1,2)

The HPV virus (Human papillomavirus) causes genital warts. There are many kinds of HPV, and it can stay  in your skin and the warts can develop again.  There is treatment available to buy online for genital warts, following the completion of a simple online medical questionnaire. (1,2)

Many people who have the virus do not have symptoms but can still pass it on. If a person thinks they have genital warts they should get tested, and their current sexual partner(s) should too. Only a qualified doctor or nurse can diagnose a person with genital warts. (1,2)

It is possible to buy online treatment for anogenital warts.  However, it depends on the type of warts a person has. Aldara treats soft, fleshy warts or ones that are hard to the touch either on the genitals or the anus. Aldara’s active ingredient is called Imiquimod. Warticon solution or cream is used to treat only genital soft warts and its active ingredient is podophyllotoxin. . Other treatment for warts includes surgery, freezing or laser treatment (1,2,3,4, 5)

It is important to note, however, that the HPV virus can stay in a person’s skin and the warts can return. Sometimes the warts will go away without treatment but this can take a long time. Anyone who has genital warts should not have sex until they are healed. This can take  up to a month(1,2)

Hair Loss Treatment Delivered to Your Doorstep

Typically, men begin losing hair from around their temples (which causes a receding hairline) or from the crown of their head. It’s commonly known as male pattern baldness. Hair loss is also called androgenetic alopecia. So, don’t be confused by the terminology here; it all means precisely the same thing. It’s the most common form of hair loss in men and can be treated.
In rarer cases, a man may lose all of his hair. Sometimes this occurs because of anxiety, an illness, iron deficiency, or cancer treatment. (1,4)

Hair loss tablets online are now available. The most effective hair loss medication for men is called Finasteride. This increases hair growth and prevents further hair loss. Finasteride is the generic version of Propecia. It’s much cheaper than Propecia, yet it’s just as effective. Both medications come in 1mg doses. (2,3,4)

It’s possible to obtain a prescription for Finasteride or Propecia on the web just after completing a short online health questionnaire.
